For a long time, we have been focusing on our core models of minimalist everyday footwear. However, many people have asked us to create shoes for work and special occasions that offer the same quality, materials and ethical manufacturing standards.
Our brand expansion has been an ongoing process: first boots, then sandals, followed by slippers and house shoes. Now, we are entering a new era with the launch of our casual flats.
Following in the footsteps of models like our Slip-On, Loafer and Soca Clogs, this year we are adding our first Mary Janes, ballet flats and boat-style shoes to our barefoot footwear line-up.
The new models combine style and versatility with modern minimalist lines and premium natural materials sourced locally from Portugal and across Europe.
Together with our dedicated partners, we put all of our combined experience and know-how into creating these models for those looking for stylish footwear options with barefoot features such as foot-shaped forms and thin, flexible soles.
Our casual flats showcase the best of Portuguese footwear-making tradition and ingenuity, an industry renowned for the high quality of its construction and finishing, carrying the “Made in Portugal” label around the world through the mouths and feet of satisfied customers.

Magnolia is a classic cream/beige ballerina flat with a tie across the instep for a classic touch and a more adjustable fit. These feminine shoes are perfect for a girly day out or for dancing the night away.
.Maria Joana is a modern brown Mary Jane, also known as merceditas by our Spanish friends, that is both stylish and versatile, featuring suede uppers, side buckles and a wide toe box, making it suitable for many occasions.
Last but not least, Nómada Terra s a boat-shoe style inspired by traditional moccasins, but with a modern twist, especially thanks to the zero-drop sole that makes it the perfect shoe for movement during long workdays. Fun fact, it was a true joy to see the artisans in our workshop working on this shoe, as they know this style inside and out, so they know they are doing their best work and appreciate the classic appeal of this kind of shoe.
All of these shoes feature our 3.5 mm natural rubber soles, with the flexibility you know from Mukishoes, allowing you to ground yourself while moving fully and freely with every step you take, wherever you go.
