Just received these ones, I tried them on and love them. This is my second pair of Mukis. The designs are simple but look "normal" as opposed to other barefoot brands whose designs look like something an 80's vegan high school teacher would have enjoyed. Speaking of vegan, while I very much support recycling and up-cycling and vegan products, part of why I love the Mukis so much is that the materials are natural. Again, I love the idea of recycling plastic bottles into shoes, but unfortunately, the reality is that they're terribly uncomfortable and sweaty compared to natural materials, and they don't last as long either. My previous pair of Mukis is on its second full year of regular use and is still going strong! So at least they're built to last, which is also important for sustainability. For people who are in North America like I am, I know the shipping and import fees are a big deterrent because it just about doubles the price, however it's really quite worth it!
