Description
The model Gaia features embroidered eyelets and a embroidered Mukishoes logo. With this special model we take one step further in reducing non biodegradable components as well as an even more transparent supply chain with our partners from Brazil who produce the undyed naturally brown coloured organic cotton in a controlled and natural way using permaculture. Blended with Tencel and assembled with the certified natural rubber sole, which features rubber from a preserving foresting project in Guatemala.
FIT: You can verify your size with our size chart here.
Please bear in mind these shoes are handmade and small variations of 2-3mm can happen from one pair to another.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Dirt is best scrubbed off dry. Treat spots locally. We recommend a gentle hand wash with neutral soap. Do not wash in the machine. Do not tumble dry. For increasing water and dirt repellency use a waterproofing spray.
Each shoe is handcrafted with natural materials and ecologically dyed. Slight differences in colors and finishing are possible.

Original color is darker, maybe a light brown.
Not a light creme color.

Like previously mentioned, the colour is quite a bit darker than the photos here as well as the promo photos. The sizing runs quite small, I normally wear a 38 (and have the Igneous boots in 38, which are fine), with these shoes the 38 feels both short and narrow (and I don’t have a wide splay). They are not comfortable without socks (rubbing on the heel), but with socks they are almost too tight. If you have wide feet I would give these a miss, unless perhaps you size up a few sizes, as they really are quite narrow. I would also advise sizing up from your regular size. Otherwise, they are very soft and beautiful!

I’ve been using them for 2 weeks and don’t want to go back to wearing other shoes. My feet can rest in them, love the fabric and the colour (it is a bit darker than on the picture – more like latte coffee). So far easy to keep clean and odourless, haven’t tried in the rain. But very happy for now. Super quick delivery also, overall just great. Thank you Mukishoes!

These are my first pair of barefoot shoes. I am loving them! Super super comfortable, your feet have ample space to do their magic. They are really light and (in my opinion) very nice looking. I find the color to be identical to the photos, specially the close-up one. I am seriously considering never wearing “regular” shoes again. Thank you mukishoes!

Great shoes, unfortunate sizing. It seems the 38 is the equivalent to a US 7.5, and the 39 the equivalent to an 8.5. There was also a substantial, not incremental difference in the two sizes, so one pinched my toes and the next size up my foot was sliding around. Too bad because they’re wonderful shoes, they just don’t exist in size 8.

I’m new to barefoot shoes and this is the first brand I tried – they are great! True to size, super comfortable. The company is also very responsive to messages and shipping is super fast. Definitely recommend.

The shoes are beautiful and well made! it’s my first muki pair but not the first barefoot one. They are comfortable, beautiful, spectacular quality, in short, I am satisfied with the purchase. I put one star less because despite the tool to verify the size, which confirmed my size (40), the shoe is too right once worn. I would have preferred one more number. So if you have a 40, definitely take the 41.

I received the Gaia shoes in August. This is my first pair of Muki Shoes. I have worn them almost every day since (it is now Oct. 30). I have also jogged in them a little too. So far they have held up really well. I am a size 9.5 in U.S. women’s and I got 41 and they fit perfect. They took a few days for the fabric to loosen and adjust to my feet. They are thin on the bottom and I also added the hemp insoles, I like the soft and flexible feel of them. They give me joy whenever I wear them. I will be ordering from Muki again as the experience has been really good.
On another note for others looking into Muki I have a a medium to thinner width foot and these fit just right. My partner has a wider foot and they are not wide enough for him, his feet work more to the sizing of Xero shoes. Hope that helps!
Thank you to all the people at Muki for putting their time, effort and energy into making these shoes 🙏
