Creating beautiful colors together!

Collaboration is the origin of beautiful and truly inspired projects. That is the case with some of our new models, especially the Indigo linen shoe and socks we released for Spring/Summer 2024.

The idea for this shoe first came last year when we collaborated with a very talented artisan, Liz Spencer, who makes crafts from natural and household items, and who was working with the Indigo plants from her garden.

At the time we were exploring the possibilities of plant-dyeing and printing for diferent fabrics and pieces. Out of the project, which we found to be a success, was born the new model Duna (raw linen) and the desire to create a shoe whose blue color came from the indigo plant.

This was, however, an international collaboration on a small scale, which would be difficult to continue, so we turned back to our long-time partners at Minority Denim, who develop beautiful colors through natural and innovative processes.

Together, we worked on this beautiful linen shoe, as well as a limited run of tye dye socks.

Partnering with Minority Denim allows us to have some control over the color and the dyeing process, but also to follow and document the process, as we were happy to do this time.

We oversaw the entire dyeing process of our linen for the Indigo model.

Once the fabric has been dyed, it is sent to our long-time manufacturing partners who have vast experience and knowhow in this industry. They make our shoes with care and ethic practices, which we see every time we visit their workshops to make necessary adjustments or even develop brand new products.

We had the pleasure to follow and participate in every step of production, and we wanted to share it with you, so we took the time to make this behind the scenes video to bring you with us on this journey.

By collaborating, we are able to bring you the products we’ve envisioned over the years while sticking to our core values of sustainability, fair production, and collective growth.
